Beef Stroganoff Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 800g( 2lb) rump or fillet steak
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 400g (1/2lb) mushrooms pepper
  • 1 onion
  • 25g (1oz) butter

Steps:

  1. Cut meat into thinnest possible strips, about 1cm x 5cm.
  2. Melt butter in pan and saute chopped onions.
  3. Add meat, and continue to cook until almost done.
  4. Add sliced mushrooms
  5. cook until meat is tender.
  6. Pour in sour cream, season with salt and pepper, heat through gently; do not boil.
  7. Serve with hot rice.

Serves 4 to 6.
